Man charged after pub break-in

A MAN has appeared in court after a burglary at a pub in Morecambe.

Frederick Mansfield, 45, of Euston Road in Morecambe, was charged after a break-in at the Pier Hotel on Marine Road.

Police said a haul worth around £1,720 was stolen from the pub, including a till and staff tip jars, following a break-in at 5.45am on February 10.

Mansfeld was bailed on February 11 and due to reappear at Lancaster Magistrates Court today (February 19).
