Operation Magnum was launched nationally by British Transport Police last year to tackle a rise in thefts of luggage and other property.

Operation Magnum is a long term, national initiative that aims to reduce theft by disrupting and deterring thieves who target unsuspecting commuters and tourists.

As part of the operation officers issued video clips (www.btp.police.uk/theft) through the special Op Magnum mobile website and YouTube channel to help passengers spot 13 of the most common tricks thieves use.

Report a theft to British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or by text on 61016.
