Batman and Robin, Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and other costumed characters have teamed up for a very good cause.

They were part of a fancy dress charity night at County Snooker Club to raise money for St John’s Hospice.

Karen Marsden, licensee of the County, was diagnosed with breast cancer last November and is currently having treatment.

Sister Andrea and friend Sam also decided to have their heads shaved to raise money for the hospice. Andrea raised over £1,000 and Sam £416. The charity night raised £460 and the grand total came to £2,075. Karen and her husband Andrew thanked everyone who made the event a success.
