Have your say

Was this the best Morecambe Kite Festival ever?

The thousands who came out onto the Promenade on Saturday and Sunday in glorious weather certainly thought so.

The Catch The Wind Kite festival was held at Morecambe Bay this weekend.

The annual Catch the Wind festival was blessed with two days of soaring temperatures and enough of a breeze to allow copious amounts of kite flying over our beautiful bay.

The wonderful, colourful kites on display included a 64ft giant purple teddy bear and a massive scorpion!

There was also music outside The Platform both days and the Baybeat Band brought their energy and sound to the occasion by parading up and down the seafront, with ‘World’s Fastest One Man Band’ Pete Moser also making an appearance.
