SLIDESHOW: Fighter jet’s bird’s eye view of Lancaster and Morecambe

Waiting for Video...

A series of stunning aerial pictures of Lancaster and Morecambe have been taken from the cockpit of a Eurofighter Typhoon jet.

BAE Systems trials photographer, Chris Ryding, captured the images from one of the world’s most advanced swing-role combat jets on Wednesday, February 19.

The aircraft – which have a top speed of 1,320mph – regularly head out from BAE at Warton to an area of the Irish Sea known as the ‘supersonic corridor’.

This is a designated area set aside for testing supersonic aircraft.

During this visit the team came back over Lancaster and Morecambe and got snaps of local landmarks.
