Help at park plant event

The Friends of Williamson Park are asking for help from the local community to dig in and help to plant bulbs to brighten up the park.There will be two planting events this spring which will see the planting of 15,000 bulbs along the edges of the main drive from the park’s Quernmore Road entrance.The first event takes place on Saturday, March 15 at 11am. The second event will be on Sunday March 23 at 2pm.

Fostering campaign

Lancashire County Council is backing a campaign which encourages people from the lesbian, gay, bi- or transsexual (LGBT) community to consider fostering or adoption.

LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week runs from March 3-9 and is run by New Family Social, the network for LGBT adoptive and foster families.
