Booths in Carnforth will officially open its much anticipated in-store café following a £1.2million store investment.

The opening of the 48 seater café at the Booths store on Monday, December 9, marks the culmination of nine months’ extension and renovation work and is the second stage in a series of improvements planned for the store - the first stage of which was the redevelopment and extension of the store’s car park in 2012.

The investment has also seen the provision of brand new toilet facilities, introducing additional facilities for disabled customers and baby changing.

Stephen Allen, store manager at Booths Carnforth, said: “This is a really exciting time for the Carnforth store and we are delighted to be opening a café, with a series of further improvements planned for the store in the near future.

“We pride ourselves on delivering a first class shopping experience to customers, and hope that the opportunity to combine the grocery shop with a light lunch, afternoon tea, or simply a coffee and a catch up with friends, will make that experience all the more enjoyable.”

As part of the additional benefits for Booths Cardholders announced this month, customers with registered cards are eligible for a free hot drink per day in any Booths Café or at the hot food counter just by showing their Booths Card at the till.

These can be made to take away, and include a standard tea, coffee, cappuccino, latte or hot chocolate.
