A man has been convicted of raping a teenager he met as she walked home from a party in Lancaster.
Robert Rawes, 19, of no fixed abode, met the youngster who was trying to find her way home through the Marsh Estate.
Rawes invited the 15-year-old back to his house where he told her she could sleep on a mattress on the floor.
The youngster fell asleep but woke to find Rawes attacking her.
She fled the house and was found in a distressed state nearby.
Rawes denied rape but was convicted unanimously by a jury at Preston Crown Court after just 40 minutes of deliberations.
He has been remanded in custody and will return to court on February 25 to be sentenced.
