X Factor star Paul Akister will headline a live music charity day to raise money for Joseph Devaney, a three-year-old Morecambe boy who is fighting back from leukaemia.
The Lancaster TV singing hopeful will be joined by an array of top local musicians at the Queens Hotel on Morecambe Promenade this Saturday (June 28).
Also on the bill will be Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steven Hall, Stuart Michaels, Amy Jo Clough, Mark McKenna, Megan Stanford, One Non Blonde, Steve McDee, Hope Collins, Lake Como, Danny Seward, Cara Shannon Highes, Andee Robinson, David and James, Voce and Jamie Boskano.
There will be a charity raffle and auction.
Proceeds will go to the Devaney family.
“Trying to care for one healthy three year old is a challenge in itself,” said Debbie Carter, landlady of the Queens. “But when he is extremely ill and they have four other children to look after and care for, the stresses and strains must be extremely tough financially as well as emotionally. Any sort of donation or contribution would be much appreciated.”
Danny Matthews from The Bay will host the event, which runs from 1.30pm until 4am. All welcome.
