A plan to spend £1m to improve the West End of Morecambe will be revealed in early 2015.

The team behind the ‘West End Million’ project has been collecting ideas from residents about how best to spend National Lottery cash awarded to the West End.

The public consultation will be completed by October 2014.

Residents have also been invited to apply for grants of up to £150 to help raise awareness of the project.

The Community Chest Grants are available to anyone who comes up with a bright idea to promote the scheme. If you would like to host a West End Million event and would like an application form please call 07593 050858 or email wem.projectworker@gmail.com .

A West End Million noticeboard will soon be up on Regent Road where people can keep up to date with information about the programme and meeting dates.
