A man raised over £1000 for St John’s Hospice by having his hair shaved off.

Darron Crabtree of Euston Grove in Morecambe was touched by the care his mother-in-law and father-in-law Barbara and Dennis Crowther received at the hospice so thought it would be nice to help in some way.

Local businessman Karl Noon of Supa Scaffolding was the highest paying sponsor with an amount of £250.

The sponsored head shave took place in the Lord Nelson pub in Morecambe.

Darron said: “Thank you to Teresa and Les of the Lord Nelson for allowing the sponsored head shave to happen in their pub and thank you to everyone who sponsored me.

“I managed to raise £1235.84.”
