Staff and pupils at Overton St Helen’s Primary School are jumping for joy after they overturned an Ofsted decision which had told them the school required improvement.
The school, which has 175 pupils, was originally told it had several areas of concerns.
But after head teacher, Jill Milligan and the school’s governing body appealed the decision, inspectors overturned the decision and has granted the school a ‘good’ rating.
Mrs Milligan, who has been head teacher for three years, said she is delighted with the outcome and feels justice has been done.
She said: “We are a good school so when they told us we required improvement we were all devastated.”
