Lancaster Cycling Club raised over £2000 for local charities from an annual event.

The Le Terrier event is held every June and riders sign up for a choice of three distances ranging from 48-104 miles.

Le Terrier started in 2008 and with this year’s proceeds the event has raised over £10,000m since its inception.

The amount raised this year was £2200 which means a donation of £1100 to each charity- LDHAS and Bay Aqua Therapy.

For Bay Aqua Therapy this donation means six months of vital pool hire is funded.

Club treasurer Simon Jones said: “I am extremely proud of this achievement of Lancaster Cycling Club.”
