A big hearted Lancaster woman will hold a charity night to help a two year-old girl who has leukaemia.

Julie Seaton decided to raise funds after seeing our story in The Visitor over Christmas about little Jessica Holmes.

Jessica, whose mum Mandy used to live in Morecambe, was diagnosed with leukaemia after she originally developed the symptoms of a cold.

Julie’s charity night at the Babar Elephant Indian restaurant on Morecambe Road will raise money for the Jessica Holmes Family Fund. “I saw the article and I have three granddaughters who are the same age, so it tugged at my heart-strings,” said Julie.

The event is on Monday March 3 at 7.30pm. Tickets £20. There will be a three course meal, disco and auction. Call Julie on 0779 3027295 for tickets.
