Morecambe lifeboat crew was called out after reports that a fishing boat had run aground near Heysham.

The hovercraft was launched after an emergency call on Sunday evening.

But then the two people on board called 999 to inform them that they were anchored up waiting for the tide and that everyone was safe and well. The hovercraft crew then stood down.
