The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow, ice and wind across the North West.
Currently the heaviest snow is in mid, north and west Wales with a yellow ‘be aware’ warning of snow and ice for the rest of the country.
The snow is more likely to fall onto higher ground while coastal areas facing west or south west are expected to miss most of the wintery showers this evening (Tuesday, January, 13).
Parts of Lancashire may be affected by wintery showers this evening and into tomorrow morning (Wednesday, January, 14).
The Met Office has also issued a yellow warning for wind this Wednesday with gusts reaching up to 50-65mph through the North West.
Gusts of 75 mph are likely to develop around southern and western coasts and over exposed hills.
