Inquests will be held into the deaths of a man who took his own life while awaiting attempted murder charges and one of his victims.
Dates are due to be set for separate inquests into the deaths of William O’Mara and Paul Clark, when a coroner will hear evidence as to how they died and give a verdict on what caused their deaths.
O’Mara, 45, was found dead in prison on October 2 of a suspected suicide. He faced charges following a series of incidents at Ocean Edge Leisure Park in Heysham on September 20. O’Mara is believed to have attacked his wife Sara with a glass bottle and then driven away in a car which knocked down Mr Clark at the entrance to the park while he was out walking his dog.
Mr Clark, 42, suffered serious head injuries and died in hospital on September 27.
The inquests were officially opened and adjourned on Monday.
