Fire crews were helping residents in the coastal village of Glasson Dock clean up flood water on Monday morning after torrential rain hit the district over the weekend.
Lancashire County Council also attended the scene on Pennine View with one resident, who did not wish to be named, reporting two feet of standing water in his garage in what is believed to be the worst affected house.
He said: “The cul-de-sac filled up like a lake at the bottom.
“We had to clean up on Sunday morning and then again this morning. We had about two feet of water in the garage but nothing was damaged.
“My wife and I have been here ten years and never had a problem before.”
The fire service said they had been at the scene since around 4.30am on Monday morning helping the handful of residents affected.
The flooding was believed to have been caused by blocked drains.
Flood warnings for the rest of the district remain in place.
