A new single, a new EP, two major gigs, a return to Japan and a string quartet are all in the immediate future plans of Morecambe’s biggest pop group.

The Heartbreaks have announced a busy schedule to close 2012 including a new special edition of their debut album Funtimes.

This will coincide with the band’s new single, a reworked version of their seminal album track Hand On Heart, out next Monday (October 29).

A new EP will also come out on January 14 featuring two new tracks and a string quartet version of concert fave Jealous, Don’t You Know.

The romantic pop four-piece will next play live at Dingwalls in London on Thursday, November 1, then at the Club Academy, Manchester University on Friday, November 2.

Then in December they’re off to the Far East, where they are massive, for gigs in Osaka and Tokyo.

Exciting times indeed for Matthew, Joseph, Ryan and ‘Deaks’.

Best of British, lads!
