The Rotary Club of Lancaster Loyne has donated the tasty sum of £1,000 to Lancaster and Morecambe Alzheimer’s Society.

The club raised the money at two events.

There was a cheese tasting evening, held at Morecambe Golf Club, which raised £800.

The range of cheeses were presented by Ian Cogging, sales director of Dewlay’s of Garstang, following which guests were entertained by the Red Rosettes Ladies Chorus barbershop singers.

Dewlay’s, The Red Rosettes and Morecambe Golf Club all gave their services free of charge.

The additional money was raised by a Rotary can shake at Sainsbury’s supermarket.

Loyne Rotary would like to thank all those who supported these events.
