BRAVE Hannah Westworth is getting the surgery she desperately needs for a paralysed stomach by paying privately for the operation.

Hannah’s parents John and Mai decided to pay for Hannah, who is sick up to 50 times a day, to have the operation from their own pocket.

She is due to have her surgery next Tuesday, August 2.

Kind friends and people who don’t even know Hannah are trying to raise as much cash as possible to help.

Sam Hamblett, 26, from Morecambe, plans to do a fish-a-thon at Tewitfields, Carnforth. He is going to fish continuously with at least one rod always in the water, without sleep.

Businesses or members of the public can sponsor Sam for a minimum of £5 for each hour of the fish-a-thon.
