A MYSTERIOUS benefactor turned up on a woman’s doorstep and handed over £200 to help her set up a charity for women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Cheryl Howe, of Clarence Street, Morecambe, was astonished when there was a knock on the door and she was faced with an old man carrying a wad of cash.
The surprise donation came after Cheryl spoke to The Visitor about her hopes of helping others.
She said: “The man was well dressed, like he wasn’t from round here.
“He didn’t want to give his name and handed over £200 to me, saying he had had a whip round and people wanted to congratulate me because I’d been so brave. I couldn’t stop crying, I was gobsmacked.”
