Gruelling walk for kids charity

Two women raised over £1,800 for a disabled childrens charity after taking part in a punishing 85 mile walk.

Sandie Halpin and Tracy Gethin, both from Morecambe, took part in the Isle of Man Parish to Parish walk which must be completed within 24 hours in aid of Unique Kidz and Co.

The walk is known to be a very tough challenge and of the 1,321 who started, only 215 finished.

Their fantastic achievement has been rewarded and altogether their sponsors have now donated £1,800 to help disabled children in North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
