An exciting art glass exhibition will be shown in Lancaster’s Ashton Memorial this spring by an award-winning artist.
Memory/Loss by Sabine Little is part of a long-term art project Follies for Follies.
One of the key exhibits will be the Sea of Memories, which comprises hundreds of small glass ships, each engraved with a name of a loved one ‘setting sail’ together on a sea of glass.
Ships are available to sponsor for £2.50 from the project website, allowing sponsors to specify a name and a sail colour. Funds raised from the Sea of Memories are used to fund school based activities, which will also appear in exhibits.
Sponsor a ship to be part of the installation, and/or visit the exhibition which will be open to the public daily from March 25 to May 5 between 10am and 3pm.
Visit www.folliesforfollies.com for more information about the exhibition.
