Food and wine tasting, cookery demos from top chefs and live music will bring a tasty mixture to Lancaster and Morecambe College this Sunday (May 12).
The first ‘Go Morecambe’ food, drink and craft festival will tickle visitors’ taste buds on the college field from 10am to 4.30pm.
A beer garden, children’s entertainment, face painting, pirates and zombie paintball will be among the other attractions.
Debbie Cain from Go Morecambe said: “Our aim is to promote local shops and business in the area.
“Shopkeepers can have a stand and introduce their business to a new customer base.
“We also support The Visitor’s #SOSMorecambe campaign and the Morecambe Portas Pilot Town scheme.”
Admission is free on foot and £2 for vehicles. To book a stand please email email@example.com or call 07985704395.
Go Morecambe is made up of eight local people who want to put on events in the town and rally people behind them to regenerate Morecambe.
It is a community interest company which aims to put on festivals in the traditional Morecambe Arena space near the former Dome site and also at other venues like the college.
