Williamson Park is an excellent visitor attraction – and that’s official.
The Lancaster park scored highly on a recent inspection visit.
It now merits the accolade of ‘excellent standard of quality experience.
“This season there seems to be that extra sparkle and staff attention that makes the vital difference in quality,” said an inspector.
“Paintwork, attractive new signage, vital repairs and restoration of the Memorial stairway and a suite of enhanced literature really make a difference to the visitor impression.”
The park was rated through the Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS) run by Visit England.
