Morecambe property owners told to tidy up

OWNERS of properties on part of Morecambe promenade have been asked to clean up their act as part of the ongoing regeneration of Morecambe.

Seafront properties between Green Street and Euston Road were advised by Lancaster City Council that assessments would be carried out and relevant owners have been issued with a schedule of works.

Much of the work required involves general maintenance such as repainting fascias, removing vegetation and debris, and repairing and repainting gutters and downpipes.

Member of Morecambe and District Chamber of Trade, Paul Hart, said: “We’re all for it. The council have our support and we’re really pleased because it’s been a major problem.”
