A Hollywood stunt double tried to turn the tables on Britain’s most frightening TV business brains...with the help of scary zombies.

Martin Shenton went to terrifying lengths to convince the panel on Dragons’ Den to invest £210,000 in his horror-themed business.

Flanked by two monsters from his indoor zombie-killing game, Martin confronted the multi-millionaire ‘Dragons’ Theo Paphitis, Peter Jones, Hilary Devey, Duncan Bannantyne and Deborah Meaden.

But when the dust settled, did the walking dead creep off with the cash? Martin, whose screen stunt credits include Tomorrow Never Dies and Coronation Street, remains tight-lipped.

“It was an experience, that’s all I’ll say,” said the Morecambe tough guy.

“The zombies did scare the bejeebies out of them!”

Martin’s Blue, Green, Yellow, DEAD! game opened at his Regent Park Studios extreme sports centre on Regent Road last October.

Gameplayers, armed with paintballing guns, have to escape a maze before the clock runs out while being chased by animatronic monsters and staff dressed as zombies.

Martin applied for Dragons’ Den hoping to expand, develop and franchise the game to 12 different venues nationwide. He offered the panel 25 per cent of the business in exchange for their money and expertise.

The TV ‘zombies’ are played by Regent Park Studios staff Jason Lunn and Jamie Hutchinson.

Jamie is also a professional wrestling champion known as ‘Johnny Phere’.

Martin and his stunt team will also soon take part in a TV commercial for the launch of four new flavours of Kit Kat.

But first, you can see if they are successful on this Sunday night’s episode of Dragons Den at 9pm on BBC2.
