John Bishop returning to Lancaster
Comedian John Bishop loved his last visit to Lancaster so much that he’s coming back to perform live.
The Grand Theatre has confirmed the Scouser has pencilled in a late February date for a stand-up show at the venue.
Bishop spent over a week in Lancaster in December filming his Christmas ITV show ‘Panto!’, where most of the scenes were shot at the historic theatre on St Leonardgate.
‘Panto!’ aired on December 27, and also starred Mrs Biggs actress Sheridan Smith and 1990s pop icon Chesney Hawkes.
Ellie Singleton, theatre manager: “He loved the Grand and what he liked most was the fact that we are an unfunded theatre – he couldn’t believe it.”
