MORECAMBE’S summer festival season culminates this weekend with Beachbash 2012.

Beachbash 2012 celebrates the sixties, seventies and eighties decades on successive days and nights, with five sessions over 25 hours, making certain there is something for everyone with hundreds of great hits covering the 30- year period.

Now one of the North West’s top tribute weekends, featuring 14 artists and bands, Saturday is the sixties day, which will feature tributes to Billy Fury, Tom Jones and The Beatles.

The sixties night show will also feature Cliff Richard and The Who.

Seventies day on the Sunday will feature Jason Stardust, Ian Dury’s Blockheads and Barry Manilow.

On Sunday night, the show will carry on with a superb tribute to Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music.

The two evening shows are family friendly and are free for accompanied children.

The festival ends on Monday with the eighties day, featuring Jason le Bon, Madness and George Michael.

The weekend also features Morecambe’s Remix sixties choir on Saturday and local Gs Angels seventies dancers on Sunday.

All these family shows are at The Platform in Morecambe.

Day shows are from noon until 5pm and are free.

Night shows are from 7.30pm and tickets are £10, payable on the door (accompanied children free).
