An elderly man has suffered head injuries after being knocked off his bike in Lancaster city centre.
The cyclist in his 70s was hit by a silver vehicle which failed to stop on Cable Street at 9.10am on Thursday morning.
The man was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary and was later transferred to Royal Preston Hospital where he is said to be in a serious condition.
Parts of Cable Street were closed for around three hours to allow a police investigation to take place.
