Dr Who lands at Carnforth train station

GREAT news for Doctor Who fans – one of the actors to play the universally-famous Time Lord on BBC TV is coming to Carnforth for a special bank holiday event.

Colin Baker, who played the sixth Doctor in the 1980s, will meet and greet fans of the hit sci-fi series at Carnforth railway station's Doctor Who-themed shop 'The Tardis' on Monday, August 25.

'A Brief Encounter with Doctor Who' is being held to coincide with the release of the DVD 'Trial of a Time Lord'.

The event, which includes a question and answer session with Colin Baker, and many other Dr Who-themed activities, runs from 10.30am to about 3pm. Advance tickets cost 8 for adults 4 for children under 16 (10 and 5 (on the day). Under 5s go free, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The ticket price includes restricted-access events and signings and you might even get to meet a Dalek!
