A GROUP of teenagers and adults chased a terrified young deer around a cemetery where it had been grazing on floral tributes.
The deer was seen bolting throughout Torrisholme cemetery and was in a state of stress during the incident on July 4.
William Melville, who was visiting the cemetery at the time, said: “A young deer appeared grazing between the graves.
“Obviously the deer has somehow wandered into this location from quite some distance.
“Within minutes of its appearance a group of teenagers appeared and began chasing the now panicked and clearly terrified animal around the cemetery. The size of the group quickly grew and included some adults.”
