Dealer jailed for supplying drugs

A drug dealer found transporting large quantities of two Class A drugs through Lancashire has been imprisoned for a total of five years.

Paul Oakes, 44, of Apollo Crescent, Liverpool, was sentenced at Preston Crown Court having previously pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine with intent to supply and one count of possession of heroin with intent to supply last month.

Oakes was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for each offence, to be served concurrently.

Both offences were discovered on Friday, November 15, 2013 when Oakes was stopped by a motorway patrol at Forton Services.
