I was delighted to accompany local businessman Russell Sanderson to Downing Street last week, the Prime Minister is always keen to hear about business success stories and Russell’s business DST is a great local business.
Russell is the group Chairman of DST Group exporters and distributers of specialist engineering products from White Lund worldwide.
He also supplies to major projects here in the UK.
Russell was also able to tell the Prime Minister about the positive impact his announcement that Heysham M6 Link Road is being built has had on the local business community.
I’m always keen to hear from local businesses and also to visit businesses so please do get in touch if you’d like me to visit. On Sunday, May 4 Morecambe Carnival makes a welcome return, there’ll be entertainment from 12 noon and the carnival parade starts at 2pm with live music until 9pm.
The carnival promises to be a truly fantastic day, I’m looking forward to attending and I hope you will too.
It’s also vitally important that people from outside the district know about the carnival so please do talk about it on your social media. The organisers are using the #MC14 hash tag.
I am in the process of putting together this year’s summer tour, if you’d like me to come to your community event, hold a street surgery on your street or hold a surgery in your local pub/community centre please do get in touch.
My summer tour is an opportunity to travel all across the constituency and meet as many people as possible.
A reminder that I want to know what you think, you can let me know your thoughts about Morecambe and Lunesdale by completing my constituency wide questionnaire.
