SIX youngsters who daubed graffiti across a brick wall have been made to clean up the mess they created.

The boys, aged 12 to 18, had used red and black spray paint and marker pen to write their names on a wall belonging to an elderly couple who live on Heathfoot Avenue, on the Combermere estate in Morecambe.

After police identified the vandals, it was decided that they themselves should be the ones to remove the graffiti.

Lancaster City Council provided paint brushes and Homebase provided masonry paint before the youngsters repainted the whole wall.
