THREE men appeared in court yesterday, Monday, after a car was stolen in Lancaster at the weekend.
The trio were all arrested just after midnight on Saturday morning, after their black Vauxhall Corsa, thought to have been stolen after a burglary in Lancaster, hit a wall between Grange and Lindale on the B5277.
The police chase ended at 12.30am near Grange-over-Sands Golf Club.
Martin Turnbull, 20, of Friar Street, Lancaster, was charged with burglary, theft, driving whilst over the drink drive limit, dangerous driving, driving without insurance or a licence, aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage.
Daniel Boyle, 19, of Dunkeld Street, Lancaster, was charged with burglary, theft, aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage.
Both have been remanded in custody for an interim hearing at Lancaster Magistrates Court on October 5 and are due to be committed to Preston Crown Court on November 7 for a trial by jury.
