RESIDENTS of Heysham are at their wits’ end after another weekend where vandals rampaged through the quiet village.
Drunken youths who had been partying on Heysham Barrows ran amok in the village in the early hours of Saturday morning.
They ripped up flowers laid in memory of loved ones in remembrance gardens and hurled a memorial bench off the cliff path onto the beach below.
Police were called out at 3.15am but the gang of troublemakers had gone when they arrived.
Now residents fear a new play park in the centre of the village could be the youths’ next target.
