TWO people from Lancaster have appeared in court in connection with a robbery in which £12,000 pounds was taken from a couple in a Morecambe street.

The victim had the money stolen on Pedder Street in June last year.

The victim had the money stolen on Pedder Street in June last year.

Josephine Smith, 26, of Mayfield Avenue and Darren O’Connor, 45, of Ripon Avenue pleaded not guilty to robbery at Preston Crown Court on Monday.

The case has been adjourned for trial on September 19.

The pair received unconditional bail.
