Two men had to be rescued from the sea at Heysham after one decided to go for a swim.
The police helicopter was called out to the beach near Sandylands promenade at 12.50am on November 28, to assist police and the Morecambe RNLI hovercraft to find the men.
Police said one man was pulled to safety by the RNLI hovercraft and the other man was rescued by the police from the sandy area of the beach.
The men, a 22-year-old and a 23-year-old, were checked over by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
It was the third time in three days that the Morecambe RNLI hovercraft was called out to assist someone in difficulties in the sea.
