Council deputy leader supports appeal

THE deputy leader of Lancaster City Council has backed our #SOSMorecambe campaign to Support Our Shops.
Councillor Janice Hanson, who represents Harbour ward in Morecambe, said: “I think it’s important because we need to make sure our local shops are used by locals and visitors alike.
“We need Morecambe to be an area that people will want to come to and come back to.
“The Portas Pilot scheme has given a big boost to Morecambe. It’s shown we can actually enter competitions and win!”
