CLASSIC films like Dirty Dancing will be shown in the unlikely setting of Williamson Park this summer.

The Dukes Theatre may not be hosting its annual promenade play in the park this year but instead will be setting up a cinema screen in the park’s Dell area.

The season will open with Singin’ In The Rain) on Thursday, July 26, which hopefully won’t tempt fate with the weather.

Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey will be shown on Friday, July 27 and The Woman In Black on Saturday, July 28. Screenings will take place rain or shine so film fans are asked to dress appropriately and bring a blanket and warm waterproof clothing.

Short films will be screened from 8.30pm with the main features beginning at 9pm.

Catering and licensed bar facilities will be available within The Dell area from 7.30pm or you can take a picnic.

Tickets cost £11/£10. To book your place call The Dukes box office on 01524 598500 or visit {httP:// www.dukes-lancaster.org|www.dukes-lancaster.org.}

Tickets can also be purchased at the events themselves using cash or cheque, subject to availability.
