CCTV appeal after petrol stolen from garage

POLICE want to trace a man captured on CCTV after petrol was put into a vehicle and the driver left without paying.

A man drove a silver Vauxhall onto the forecourt of the BP Filling Station on Scotforth Road in Lancaster at 5.30pm on July 5.

Then £65 worth of petrol was put into the vehicle before it was driven off without the driver making any attempt to pay for the petrol.

Prior to this, registration plates were stolen from a car on Bridge Road in Lancaster and put on the silver Vauxhall.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
