A MORECAMBE couple’s holiday turned into a nightmare when they were caught in the crossfire of violent revolution in Tunisia.
Joe Pyrah and wife Savannah were visiting Sousse, the country’s second-largest city when anti-government protests turned into violence.
Joe, who runs a barber’s shop on Yorkshire Street, Morecambe, booked the trip to celebrate Savannah’s birthday. He said: “We could hear gun shots and there were stories about people being killed outside our hotel. It was absolutely crazy.”
