A TAXI driver picked up a famous passenger in his cab over the weekend...BBC Breakfast News host Susanna Reid.

David Hodgson collected the TV presenter from the Lancaster House Hotel and took her to Albert Road in the West End of Morecambe.

There, photographer David took some snaps as Susanna filmed a segment for Breakfast News about the BBC1 TV show Turn Back Time, which is being filmed at the moment in Morecambe.

“She couldn’t have been nicer, I’ve always had the impression she was a nice person from watching her on TV,” said David.

Susanna will return to Morecambe on Wednesday to report on the second series of Turn Back Time, which is being filmed entirely in the resort.

The five-part series of one-hour programmes, scheduled to be shown in June 2012, will all come from three houses side-by-side in Albert Road in the West End.

Three families from across Britain are being filmed living in the houses, where they are being fast forwarded through history all the way from the class-ridden Edwardian era to the 1970s heyday of the Bay City Rollers.
