OUTRAGED neighbours say the decision to go ahead with the building of 77 homes at Bolton-le-Sands “beggars belief”.
And now David Morris MP has pledged to go before Parliament with his concerns over the Briery Homes development, on an eight-acre greenfield site between the coastal road and the canal.
Plans for 48 semi-detached homes, 19 detached homes, and a building containing 10 flats, on the agricultural land have been given the green light by Lancaster city councillors.
There will be a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes, ranging from one-and-a-half to three storeys high.
Council planning officers recommended the scheme for approval, despite concerns from residents, Bolton-le-Sands Parish Council, the Campaign to Protect Rural England and the Ramblers Association.
