LIVE outdoor music concerts could be on their way to the Globe Arena.
Morecambe FC has applied for a variation to a planning condition which would allow the club to hold music events on the pitch on up to three days per year.
Brian Fagan, executive director at Morecambe, said this could potentially bring big-name touring pop acts to the town.
However environmental health officers have objected to the club’s plans.
They have recommended the application be refused after receiving complaints about noise from neighbours on Needham Avenue whose homes back onto the ground.
The complaints are about noise from the main pitch on match days, from training pitches and from fireworks being set off at the Globe.
