AS A keen drummer and gig-goer I was delighted to learn of a product that can protect my hearing and retain excellent sound quality.

Developed for musicians who need to protect their hearing but not destroy the fidelity of their music, hearing protectors from ACS are being successfully used by many top bands.

These wonderful custom-made earplugs are now available from local audiologist, Vicky Kirkwood of Lakeland Hearing Services.

Vicky explains that continued exposure to high sound levels can irreparably damage a person’s hearing. Anyone from musicians and DJs to music lovers like myself can end up with a dulled sense of hearing or ringing in the ears due to damaging high and low frequency sounds.

Ordinary earplugs attenuate or reduce outside sound levels, but the problem is they can’t reduce the levels equally and cut out more high frequency sounds than they do low frequency sounds. This means that everything sounds muffled and distorted.

The ACS protectors reduce all sounds equally so you don’t have to sacrifice any of the definition of what you want to hear.
