Bridge crash injures trio

THREE people were injured after two cars were shunted by a lorry on Greyhound bridge.

Police were called to the scene in Lancaster at 2.45pm on Saturday and found three people trapped.

Two of the three lanes of traffic were blocked by the Scania tractor, Vauxhall Astra and black BMW Z3.

One man was complaining of lower back pain and two other people had neck pain.

Firefighters had to cut the casualties out of their cars before they were taken to hospital for treatment for minor whiplash injuries.

Police said the driver of the HGV had been reported for driving offences.
