A 12-year-old boy was punched by a man in a fish and chip shop.

Police have launched an appeal after the attack at the Fish and Chip Shop on Beaumont Street in Lancaster.

The boy, who is from the city, was not seriously injured but was left shaken and distressed.

Police have launched an appeal following the incident at around 1.15pm on Wednesday, July 24.

PC Ben Hanley said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack and we are keen to find the person responsible.”
